Plans are coming together for the Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009<\/strong> version of Weaver’s Weekend, the 2nd annual event. Once again this year, a live band will play music following a meal to be served at the Armory Ballroom.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from this event will go to support the Mike Weaver Award at Vine-Ingle Little League, as well as — perhaps — improvement to the grounds.<\/p>\n

Many thanks to everyone who made the 1st Annual Weaver’s Weekend a huge success last year!!! Due to all of the support Weaver’s Weekend 2008 received, the Mike Weaver Award has been set in place to give one young ballplayer the dream weekend for years to come.<\/p>\n

With the success and outpouring of support last year we can’t wait to do it again. The Armory Ballroom is\u00a0 booked and we are looking forward to another great weekend honoring our great friend, brother, and son!<\/p>\n

We are hoping to continue to enrich the community in which Mike loved through the generous donations that are given in his honor. Following last year’s Weaver’s Weekend we were able to make a $4,000 donation to The Mike Weaver Award, via Vine-Ingle Little League. If we can continue the success of last year, we are hoping to broaden the scope of the donations made in Mike’s honor.<\/p>\n
